Georgia ratifies the Confederate Constitution: yeas 96, neas 5.
Louisiana Legislature votes down an ordinance which would have submitted the Confederate Constitution to the people of the State: yeas 26, neas 74.
Texas Convention deposes Governor Samuel Houston by a vote of 127 to 4, declaring his seat vacant. Governor Houston issues a proclamation to the people of the State protesting against this action by the Convention.
An amendment to the fifth resolution of the majority report of Missouri's Committee on Federal Relations, asserting that Missouri would never countenance nor aid a seceding State in making war upon the United States Government, nor provide men and money for the purpose of aiding the United States Government to coerce a seceding state, was voted down.
